. The Single Vineyard Designated Reserves will be released next month. An Offering Letter will be sent to all of you who purchased Reserves last year. Please check for your customer number on our Order Status page to confirm that you will be receiving the Offering Letter. I'm still working on the bottle allocations and then I'll be able to determine how many I can bring on board from the wait list. The Karl Lawrence Softball Team Celebrates the End of the Season at Anna's Cantina* As you can tell by the celebration picture, we were all pretty stoked. We didn't win any games our first year, only one the next, and then two last year. So by all accounts, we were scheduled to win just three games this year. Well, we not only won four out of ten; we won the last three straight, including sweeping the double header (the lights didn't work, so we had to double up). Jefferson hadn't washed his jersey from the win last week as he was afraid it'd wash his lucky mojo out.

.*The only remaining watering hole left in St. Helena. . Michael and I are pretty much back in town now. The 2004 barrels also came in. Michaels doing some last minute fine tuning before bottling. So if any of you want to give him a piece of your mind relative to the blend, now's the time. Michael already bottled the 2004 Aldin Red Table Wine. He opened one up yesterday for my crowd of five visitors. I'll have to say that it will probably be the best Aldin Red to date. ![]() Zoey at the Copia's Tommy Castro Concert I must admit that I've held my nose up in the air about the Copia as being too tourisie oriented. However, now I have to eat my words. They're putting on more concerts that locals like to attend. So when you're in town, here's something you can do. Check them out at www.copia.org. They've got blues harmonica man Charlie Musselwhite coming August 17. They also show classic films on Friday nights like Roman Holiday on August 21 and Shulze Gets the Blues on August 28. By the way, Sequoia Grove is one of the sponsors of the concert series. You can't bring wine in, however, you can buy Sequoia Grove. If you look real close, you can see their tasting room gang just above Zoey's head. I'll try to get a picture of them next time. I know. It's hard to take the camera off Zoey. Another great park concert happens ever second Thursday at St. Helena's Lyman Park. We have bluegrass coming up on the 10th, and jazz on the 24th. I go every time with my mother and Zoey, with Cheryl usually joining us by half-time (somebody has to work). We get there around 5:15 with our blanket and low-backed chairs, crackers and cheese, sushi, and a bottle of our favorite. . |
