With the year end nearing, I wish to thank you all for your loyal support of what we are trying to accomplish. It's only through your support and by your spreading the word that enables us to get the best grapes in the Valley, make a great wine with them, and bring it all to you for the lowest cost of any premium wine. Thank you for partnering with us to make this happen. And thank you all for your patience with us when we screw up. I wish you all a good and safe party and a great new year. . Sunday, December 17, 2006 . ![]() Chris, Indi, Liss, & Zoey Only one day late, Indiana Bette Pratt, Cheryl's and my second granddaughter arrived. Liss started labor around 2:30 AM on Friday the 15th. Cheryl went to her house at 3:30. I arrived 15 minutes later to help watch Zoey who had woken up. Just after 4 we decided that I should take her back to my house. We left as the midwife arrived. Zoey finally went to sleep at 6. Indi was born at 6:35, weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 ozs. So I waited for Zoey to wake up and then took her over to meet her new sister. This picture was taken just after 9 AM as Zoey meets her sister for the first time. Life is good. ![]() 3 Litre of 2004 Karl Lawrence We made this special bottle to contribute to the Blues Foundation charity auction on the Blues Cruise this year. Cheryl and I are going a day early so we can meet our Florida people. Just give a call and stop by our room at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, in Ft. Lauderdale on January 12, between 6 PM and whenever. We'd like to meet with you and put some faces with email addresses. We'll pretty much be shut down here for the next month. Sequoia Grove is also going to be fairly battened down. If you have some issue that needs more immediate attention, it might be better to email Jefferson directly at solofrog@comcast.net. I'll try to check in from time to time. Looks like we're having a second Indian summer. It's pretty balmy around here. At the Raider game, it was downright hot. I'm speaking of us in the stands that is. The Raiders on the playing field were pretty cold and gave away a game to Houston. . Speaking of Houston, Frank Rodriquez, who's been with us since the '95 vintage, brought some company friends out to celebrate a recent business deal. It was nice that during the celebration, he didn't gloat about the Houstan Texan's victory, or should I say reception of our gift. ![]() The victory celebration Actually, we split games. It was the only way Frank's team was guaranteed a ride down the hill. . During December, we'll be cleaning up our data base. That means we'll: 1. archive people who haven't purchased during the last three years 2. add people from the wait list 3. upgrade people who've purchased from us for three years in a row to "R" status 4. downgrade "R" status people who didn't purchase during '03 to "K" status 5. enter the first draft of the allocation requests . |
