We're pretty much closed down for the rest of the summer. I know that we have a number of orders that are not fully process and shipped. We will get to these after the summer heat. Thank you all for being patient with us on this.
Ends up Michael will be attending the Michael Skurnik tasting in New York. I believe it's August 22. You might want to check with Skurnik's office for the time and place. Just gooogle him.
My brother and partner Bryan and I, his three sons, Mike, Ben, and Matt, and my two sons, Jefferson, and Nicholas, are off in the morning to hike the John Muir Trail in the high Sierras. Most of us will hike for nine days, going a hundred miles. Cheryl will pick us up at Vermillion Resort, a remote backpackers hide-away. Bryan, Mike, and Ben will continue on another eleven days to Mount Whitney. Davy Osborne will stop by the office from time to time. We'll catch up with you all soon.

So much out of office stuff has been happening, which doesn't allow me a chance to catch up.

Bryan Henry, Denis Sutro, Frank Dotzler, Bob Bressler, Garen Staglin

Denis Sutro contributed to the St. Helena Hospital for the Bressler/Karl Lawrence dinner. Also invited were Frank Dotzler and Garen Staglin. Cindy Pawlcyn prepared and served the dinner of Bob's favorite food for cab--hamburgers. And as usual; Bob's such a great host that we always do the cellar raid thing. Check out Denis' wine at www.carversutro.com, Frank's at www.outpostwines.com , and Garen's at www.staglinfamily.com. And of course you can check out Cindy's food at our favorite local joint, Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen. She's also opened a new place where Pinot Blanc's used to be: GoFish.

The Walnut Creek/East Bay Area Crowd

And of course I have to mention Craig Isaacs tri-annual visit with all his friends. He seems to bring more each time. Michael was doing his usual sadistic stuff by telling me that he needed barrel samples for the entire crowd from the top barrel. So I took a shot from there. That's Craig behind Michael. Pat Lee's the one in the front left. Tree, from Santa Rosa actually, is behind him. And then Ken Yzurdiaga is directly facing us. I can't put names to faces with the rest.

Things will pretty much be closed down for the summer. Bryan and I, along with our sons, will hike quite a bit of the John Muir Trail in late July and August. Davy Osborne will try and check in the office from time to time. Michael will be gone most of July. We plan to get the Offering Letter for the Reserves out in mid to late September. Between now and the hike, Jefferson will be working on some lose ends and hopefully get everything cleared up before we depart.
